Today CDP filed six divestment complaints on behalf of student-led campaigns at Penn State, Pomona, Tufts, U Chicago, U Pennsylvania, and WashU. The complaints allege that fossil fuel investments conflict with fiduciary duties owed by nonprofit universities — duties to manage their endowment consistent with their educational mission and responsibilities to the public.
